Now we are cooking!

The last two weeks have seen lots of little improvements and touches to the inside of the hotel that really make the difference, and those who have been here before should see it now.

Since my my last entry we have had no staff changes and things have been very nice and relaxed.
I have though had to implement tighter systems as some people do take advantage of my nature, but they never last very long :)

We are a bit quiet at the end of Ramadan but we have done well regardless and have an average guest count per night this month of around 14 so far.
Everybody says it will get super busy after Ramadan and I look forward to that.

It has been four months since I moved in to the building and it has taken that long to get it all setup.
There are still some lingering issues to sort out but instead of running around every day I will now pick a job a week and have a chance to live normally again.

Things are settling down now. Mark my friend left which was a shame and Yasmin came which was a real treat.

We now have proper staff and a proper key system - FINALLY!
Samantha, Abdallatif and Miriam's mum have joined us as staff and it has been an extremely positive start!

Ramadan has meant that things are a little bit quiet but even so we are in double figures still and the average guest count per night for June was almost 12, which is great considering we are not on all the booking websites still and it was only our second full month.

Yesterday we saw the return of Dominik a German guy who has now stayed here three times and seems to always return to hear a mad story or two!

We have just received our 25th genuine review and it is great to see that we are keeping people happy with the space we offer.
It's always generally a very nice crowd here and with the place looking better and better and the new staff situation things will only keep getting better.

I have recently added: An England cricket jersey to hang in the main area for Ashes Fever that has gripped me at least!
More art!
And the pool ball key rings are great and actually the catalyst for me finally sorting the key system out....

The plan for today is to get some new photos done and see a bit of Yasmin before she leaves tomorrow :(
